Embedding!

This word strikes fear in the hearts of many who are new to marketing or website design but it should be high on your list of priorities to familiarise yourself with. Why? Because Facebook has recently introduced this facility into your posts. Take a look at this Facebook post I made recently:

Looks like a standard 'copy' and 'paste' doesn't it? Well in fact it is the fully functioning post exactly as it appears on Facebook. All the links and functions work the same such as likes, shares and comments (Try them now). The advertisement link works, if you click the photo -top left - it will take you to the originating Facebook page and if you click the Facebook logo -top right - it will take you to the original ad in situ.

This facility is so useful for spreading the reach of a post on your website or blog (as I have done here) and is so easy to do.

At the top right hand side of any post you make is a small V type character which, if you click it, offers you a drop down menu of options - diffferent things you can do with the post. If you select the 'Embed' option a box pops up with an 'Embed Code' that you can copy and paste into your web page or blog. Most editors now have an 'Insert HTML' facility which makes it easy to paste the code right in where ever you want it. If yours doesn't and your'e not familiar with HTML then ask your website administrator to place it where you want it.

Here's another post embedded with video.

Try it yourself and ask yourself where do I place an ad and what ad would be best to use etc. Have fun and experiment with embedding your posts. Please leave any comments below if you wish.

Have a great day and I wish you success always.
