How your Facebook Pages can grow your income

Do you have a business?

It could be a small 'high-street' shop, a real estate agency, a Gym, or an online based business such as MLM, Affiliate Marketing, E-Commerce store etc.

What ever your business is you should have a Facebook Presence associated with it as a part of your marketing strategy in the form of a business page or "Fan Page"

Most entrepreneurs now have such a page - or multiple pages (I have over 15 and counting) - on Facebook, but many people simply have no idea on how to effectively utilise these pages to generate real, quality leads, and thus, new customers for their business.

Most people simply throw a page together and post ads on it - then wait.... and wait.... and wait to get likes, followers and engagements on the page. Well I have news for these people:

IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN!

Facebook prioritises your page content using (ever changing) algorithms which scan every single Facebook page (and that's a LOT of pages) constantly looking for certain factors by which they 'rank' what they see and grade how likely it is to be shown to other people, and just how many other people to show it to. They compare it with all the other content on your page and grade it collectively too. So if all they see is ads then I'm afraid you don't rate very highly and thus less people will ever see your page.

So how do you get around this?

The answer is pretty simple but has a huge downside. It is worth mentioning here that if you can get to the stage whereby you have several thousand followers, all of whom are interested in what you do, then many of these people WILL become customers. One of my own Fan pages has 6,400 followers and over 20% are now on my subscriber list and many of these spend money with me. That's over 1,200 super qualified and active leads from one Fan Page (and growing).

The secret to growing your followers is a two-fold action on your part:

Before doing anything though make sure your Fan page looks clean and professional and shouts your brand to the world. When someone arrives at your page they should immediately be able to see who you are and what you have to offer them. Ensure your main banner is relevant and eye-catching and have a 'pinned-post' to promote an important product, service or offer - or to display a mini bio about your business.

1) Content: To entice "Targeted" visitors to your page you must create and/or curate interesting and engaging content about your industry or niche. The "downside" to this is creating and curating suitable and relevant content, regularly and constantly is time consuming and requires effort.

The upside is that "Build it and they will come". If you are posting great and viral content by experts in your field and constantly updating it then more and more visitors will start to come, and return, and follow, and start communicating directly with you and start doing business with you.

2) Engagement: When they come you must interact (engage) with them to show you are 'real' and willing to communicate. If they leave a comment, comment back and like their comment. If they leave a negative comment thank them and provide a solution or answer.

You should also seek out pages that are similar to yours and engage, as your Fan Page, on their posts thus opening a direct channel for onlookers to your own page. Again the "downside" here is time and effort spent doing all this.

Of course you must still post your ads, but create a balanced mix.
