How to get more targeted traffic

You've heard it so many times: TRAFFIC IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF BUSINESS!

There is no getting around it, if you have a great offer - even if you think it's the best offer in the world - if nobody sees it then nobody is going to be buying it. Traffic = Opt Ins and Opt Ins = Customers! That is the simple, undeniable equation that separates the 96% of unsuccessful marketers from the 4% who rake in the big bucks. What ever you are selling, or what ever team you are building, VOLUME OF TRAFFIC is the ONLY thing that counts before you will succeed.

Here is an example of why numbers matter:

Let's imagine you have a fantastic product which you are selling at only $10 (WOW! at this price I will sell thousands of them - it's such a good product). You make a snazzy landing page to get your opt ins which then takes the prospect to your dazzling product page where they will be sure to purchase. All good so far right?

Here is what happens in reality:

If your landing page is good (high converting) then you can expect around 10% of visitors to opt in to see your offer. Realistically then if your offer is good perhaps around 10% of those will actually buy there and then. What does this mean in real life? If 1,000 visitors hit your landing page then 100 will opt in and just 1 sale is made. OK so you have another large addition to your mailing list (many of these will unsubscribe when they get your first email or even put a false email in the opt in form just to see the offer) but you only sold 1 product. These figures are not pie in the sky, they are average for the 96%.

How much work did you have to do to get those 1,000 visitors? and How can you generate more, and better quality (targeted), visitors?

Email marketing is widely recognized as the best way to get sales. Your list is comprised of people who have opted in with you and you have, hopefully, created a relationship with them by giving them good content and occasionally great products, so they trust you and will buy from you. But you must first build your list and so we are back to getting traffic.

Solo Ads: Many marketers use Solo Ads as a very effective way to generate opt ins and sales.

Upside: A solo ad is where you purchase a mailshot to targeted people who have already opted in and expressed interest to offers in your niche so they are highly targeted prospects. You can expect anywhere from 25 - 40% opt ins from a Solo Ad and therefore more sales.

Downside: Solo Ads are not cheap. Expect to pay from .50c to $3 per click. 100 @ .50c = $50 and 30% opt in might generate 5 sales (in which case you just broke even on your $10 product)

If you want to try out a cheaper, but pretty effective Solo Ad run you can go to "Traffic Buyers List" which for a small one off fee will guarantee 4,000 hits to your chosen landing page and promises, if you don't get any sales, they will do a second run Free. Two effective an relatively new methods I recommend as both effective and very cheap are Adver Blast and Auto Mass Traffic Generator.

It uses 'Bots' to search out traffic for you based on your requirements (in much the same way that Google finds people) and generates visitors to your URLs who are interested in your product or offer.
